Wellington, June 23 NZPA - New Zealand and Australia have agreed to simplify procedures for Rules of Origin, the Government said today.
Rules of Origin determine which products count as "New Zealand" or "Australian" goods, and therefore determine which are able to be exported between the countries duty free.
Trade Minister Tim Groser said it was good news for exporters because procedures would be streamlined and compliance costs would be lower.
