Wellington, May 18 NZPA - Rodney District Council wants an MP, any MP, to support a bill for the district to be left out of the super city.

The district's parliamentary representatives are Prime Minister John Key, Speaker Lockwood Smith, Social Welfare Minister Paula Bennett and Auckland governance select committee chairman John Carter.

Mayor and former ACT MP Penny Webster said a bill had been drafted and was available for public inspection until June 8.

After that she hoped it would be presented to the Clerk of the House and introduced to Parliament, The New Zealand Herald reported.
