Wellington, May 8 NZPA - The latest poll shows National continuing to enjoy high levels of political support.
The Roy Morgan poll put National support at 55 percent (up 5 percentage points) and Labour on 30.5 percent (down 2 points).
Support for the minor parties was down as well, with the Greens on 7 percent (down 1.5 percentage points), ACT 2 percent (down 0.5), the Maori Party 2 percent (down 1.5).
The poll also found that 66.5 percent of people thought New Zealand was heading in the right direction (down 2 points) and 20 percent the wrong way (up 3).
The telephone poll of 896 people was conducted between April 20 and May 3.
