Wellington, July 26 NZPA - National is still recording high levels of support over Labour according to the latest poll.
The Roy Morgan poll taken between July 6 and July 19 of 871 voters put support for National on 52 percent (down 2 percentage points) and Labour on 30 percent (down 1.5 percentage points).
The Greens had a two point increase in support to 10 percent and the Maori Party gained half a percentage point to 3.5 percent.
All other parties in Parliament were on 1 percent or less.
New Zealand First, which failed to win a seat at the last election, went up one point to 2 percent.
The poll indicates that increasing unemployment, the sacking of Richard Worth and the Mt Albert by-election have had little if any effect on the popularity of the political parties.
