Wellington, Nov 2 NZPA - The Green Party's new list MP, David Clendon, was today declared elected by the Chief Electoral Officer.

He has replaced Sue Bradford, who resigned from Parliament and gave her valedictory speech last week.

When Ms Bradford announced last month that she was going to leave, Mr Clendon said he would have preferred to sit alongside her but respected her decision.

The 54-year-old Aucklander has been business adviser with the Sustainable Business Network since 1997 and before that was an academic for 15 years, including a spell as a lecturer in politics at Auckland University.
