Wellington, June 12 NZPA - National Party list candidate Cam Calder looks to be the winner from the downfall of minister Richard Worth.
Just over six months after the National Party came to power, Mr Calder will enter Parliament following Dr Worth's resignation this afternoon.
He almost made it on election night when he was the last one "elected" off the National Party list, only to be shunted out by the Green Party when special votes were counted.
Today, Prime Minister John Key said he looked forward to welcoming Mr Calder to Parliament.
Mr Calder is a qualified dentist and sports administrator, who served on the global body governing the sport of petanque.
He has also been president of the French NZ Business Council.
