Big Game Hunting Council To Be Discussed

Wellington, Sept 27 NZPA - The public can now have their say on the establishment of a Big Game Hunting Council.
Associate Conservation Minister Kate Wilkinson said the discussion paper on the council was released this week and was open for submissions until November 23.
The council was recommended in 2007 and would represent game animal managers and hunters and manage game animal resources, Ms Wilkinson said.
The council was part of National's Confidence and Supply Agreement with United Future.
The discussion paper can be viewed on the website www.gameanimalcouncil.org.nz.
