Campbell Live last night showcased Bob Burnett Architecture’s 9 Star Homestar rated houses at Church Square, Christchurch. This house from the ground up is showing the standard New Zealand houses should be at to catch up with the European equivalent, but with a brand new kiwi product on the foundation.

That product is MagRoc InsulFound which is designed and manufactured in Christchurch, New Zealand. MagRoc InsulFound is permanent insulating formwork for your foundation. Think of it as your socks and shoes for your bare feet. It creates a thermal barrier to decrease up to 90% of heat loss through the side of the foundation, which in turn makes the home warmer, drier, and healthier.

Martin from EcoMaster a heating expert says "When installing in-floor heating MagRoc InsulFound will reduce the size and cost of the heating system required and provide savings of up to 30 - 40% in heating costs for the life of the house making in-floor heating affordable for everybody." This reduction in ongoing costs can easily offset the initial investment.

There is a range of 4 cost effective InsulFound solutions with lineal metre rates ranging between $18 - $30/m for up to 600mm deep including a retrofit option for existing buildings, plus custom profiles can be made on request.

For job pricing send your plans to stating the profile and depth that you require, alternatively we can recommend a solution for you.
