Wellington, June 9 NZPA - Former MP and Greater Wellington Regional Council chair Fran Wilde will chair the Digital Development Council (DDC) for nine months.

The DDC is aimed at establishing a digital development forum, which will advise government and work to make New Zealand a leader in information and communications technology (ICT).

Members are expected to include organisations representing ICT users, professionals, suppliers, local government, Maori, business, community, voluntary and cultural groups.
