Wellington, April 16 NZPA - The Warehouse Group said Gary Rohloff has resigned as chief executive of Warehouse Stationery and will be replaced by Mark Powell.

Mr Rohloff joined the so-called Blue Sheds business in May 2006 and was previously managing director of clothing retailer EziBuy. Prior to that he worked in finance roles and was an assistant treasurer of Transpower.

Mr Powell is currently general manager of The Warehouse's supply chain and merchandise planning. He has held a number of senior roles at the company, mostly in logistics. He has previously worked for Wal-Mart, including running that company's Canadian logistics operations, and has also worked for UK retailer Tesco.

Group chief executive Ian Morrice acknowledged the contribution of Mr Rohloff.
