Wellington, Oct 11 NZPA - Vodafone New Zealand's profit and revenue fell during the year to the end of March.
A report filed with the Companies Office showed operating revenue of $1.59 billion, down from $1.6b the year before.
Costs rose to $1.14b from $1.12b, while net profit fell to $121.6m from $177.7m.
In August 2009 rival 2degrees launched its operations, while Telecom launched its XT mobile network in May 2009.
The profit before tax of $202.5m compared to $234.9m last year.
