Wellington, Feb 26 NZPA - Australian logistics company Toll Holdings said its Toll TranzLink business in New Zealand experienced difficult trading conditions in the six months to December 31.

Toll retained Toll TranzLink after selling its rail business to the Government.

Toll's remaining New Zealand business has been getting preferential rates on rail, competitors have alleged.

Toll did not comment on the issue in its half-year report and it did not publish separate numbers for the New Zealand business.

Toll said it expected the difficult conditions in New Zealand to continue in the second half.

It said United Transport had been successfully integrated into its business.

The acquisition had been previously announced.
