Wellington, Oct 7 NZPA - Spotless Group is extending by a fortnight its offer for the shares it does not own in laundry and related services company Taylors Group.

Spotless launched a full takeover offer last month at $2.25 a share for the one-third of Taylors shares it did not own, and yesterday told the sharemarket holders of about 7.5 percent of shares that had accepted the offer.

Today Spotless said it was extending the closing date for the offer to November 5, from October 22 previously. It also emphasised its offer price was final and would not be increased.

As a result of announcing its price as final, under the Takeovers Code it could not increase the offer price, Spotless said.
