Low-cost pay TV service IGLOO is closing on 31 March 2017. From this date, IGLOO Channel Packs, Front Row events and IGLOO on demand will no longer be available.

Since launching in 2012, IGLOO has had a modest but loyal following of customers who enjoyed its 13 pre-paid channels, pay-per-view movies, and sports options.

The television landscape has seen continued change over the past four years. Notably subscription video on demand (SVOD) services like our own NEON has really taken off in New Zealand. Alongside SKY's premium pay television service, new bespoke services like Fan Pass for daily, weekly or monthly sports viewing have emerged.

The IGLOO box will continue to work as a Freeview box but without any technical support or the on-screen TV guide.

SKY is offering IGLOO customers wanting to continue enjoying premium pay television content, the more than 50 channels on SKY's Basic Package at the same low price as the IGLOO subscription, $19.95 per month until July 31, 2017. The SKY box and installation is free of charge.

IGLOO customers just need their IGLOO box number to redeem this offer, information can be found at
