Wellington, May 4 NZPA - Christmas hamper company Chrisco is taking on the existing client list of rival Mrs Christmas, which went into liquidation last month. Chrisco has bought the Mrs Christmas business, and will credit all existing customers with the amount they have paid and offer them a comparable Chrisco package for the remainder of the year, the New Zealand Herald reported today.

Mrs Christmas' troubles were revealed when the deliverer of the hampers, courier company Post Haste, was not paid and filed for liquidation.

Liquidator Damien Grant of Waterstone Insolvency said about 3500 customers were affected by the liquidation and about $3 million was outstanding from Mrs Christmas.

Chrisco owners Richard and Ruth Bradley, who emigrated to New Zealand from Britain in 1993, have their Albany home north of Auckland on the market.

Touted as New Zealand's largest and most expensive house, it has been listed by Browns Sotheby's International Realty in Britain for 7.6 million pounds ($NZ20 million).

Mr Bradley has also been also heavily involved in finance and property investment.

The four-storey home, which sits on 22.26ha on Mahoenui Valley Rd covers 4459 square metres, took four years to build.
