Inside Resources expands editorial team

Freeman Media is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Gudsell to the position of senior business journalist, working on mining and quarrying website Inside Resources.

Gudsell has been with Radio New Zealand for the last five years, most recently covering politics. Prior to that she worked on the business desk, where she wrote and presented the business news for the organisation's flagship programme, Morning Report.

She has covered the defence round and in 2011 was named Best New Broadcaster - Journalist at the New Zealand Radio Awards.

Prior to becoming a journalist Kate worked for a Wellington consultancy and as a business and systems developer at the Performing Rights Society in London.

Inside Resources’ subscriber based recently passed 60 organisations with uptake running on-track according to publisher Matt Freeman. The website is now 12 months old.

Freeman Media also recently promoted Irwin Munro to the position of Events Manager. Munro had been working on contract for Freeman Media running a series of Round Table executive luncheons for a client. He joins Freeman Media after most recently working at Callaghan Innovation and looks after the company’s expanding portfolio of events.

Freeman Media is a Wellington-based information services provider. It employs 15 staff and publishes Energy News and Inside Resources. It also publishes industry information maps and runs a range of high profile industry events.
