Wellington, Feb 9 NZPA - A rebound in home building consents is expected to continue in coming years, but in a new report industry analyst BIS Shrapnel says the cycle will peak at a lower level of activity compared to the last peak in 2004.

Wellington, Feb 11 NZPA - Five new schools and 69 additional state houses will be built as part of the Government's almost $500 million infrastructure package announced today. The package, intended to help New Zealand through the economic recession was worth a total $483.7m.

1. Boosting Medical Students National will boost the number of funded medical student places by 200 students over five years. This will increase the total number of funded medical student places from 365 students a year to 565 – a boost of over 50%.
