Wellington, July 23 NZPA - A Mapua-based man withdrew all his $190,000 in savings in $20 notes from Westpac today and deposited it in Nelson Building Society in protest at the bank's refusal to grant him a mortgage.

Wellington, July 20 NZPA - A second distribution has been paid to workers made redundant from collapsed textile manufacturer Lane Walker Rudkin. The payment takes the amount they have received to 55c per dollar of total employee preferential entitlements.
