By Kate Chapman of NZPA Wellington, June 9 NZPA - About 30 percent of New Zealand's coastline is owned in private title, is excluded from the Foreshore and Seabed Act and has been ring-fenced from any replacement legislation.

Wellington, June 18 NZPA - Land Information New Zealand (Linz) has offered to return about $18 million to the Government's coffers over three years. The amount equal to almost 7 percent of its crown funding follows a call by the National-led government for savings.
